Dr. Seraphina owes her passion for treating children to her experiences at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab.  While volunteering throughout high school and undergrad, she noticed how children tended to follow someone who created trust and used humor to relieve tension.  Dr. Seraphina is committed to professionally easing her patients’ fears and leaving them healthier and happier.

Dr. Seraphina graduated with an honors degree in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto.  She then decided to pursue dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  She continued her hospital training at a General Practice Residency in Brooklyn, where she worked with an anesthesiologist to treat many challenging cases.  Finally, she completed her pediatric specialty training at a Columbia University-affiliated hospital program.  Dr. Seraphina believes in conservative, ethical dentistry and continuously seeks better ways to care for her patients.  Empathetically connecting to those around her has contributed to her successes as a pediatric dentist.  And if you can’t tell yet, she absolutely loves her job!

Born and raised here, her favourite part of Toronto is the friendly people and welcoming energy – make sure to say hi when you see her and her daughter around town!

After earning a degree in Dentistry from the University of Manitoba, Dr. Mark completed his orthodontic training at the University of Maryland in 1982. Dr. Mark is passionate about orthodontics and it shows.

“After 35 plus years of making beautiful healthy smiles, I still love sharing this wonderful smile journey with beloved patients. Clear communication is critical to the success of any endeavour and all my patients have an after-hours cell number for anything that may come up with their orthodontic treatment. I believe that the (orthodontic) journey should be as awesome and meaningful as the destination – a gorgeous healthy smile with straight teeth.

My wife, Barbara, and I have raised 6 kids and travel back and forth between Toronto and Winnipeg where my 95-year-old dad and 92-year-old mom live independently. One of our favourite things is having our twin granddaughters for a sleepover or really any activity with them. When a parent brings in their children to us we understand that sacred trust and feel honoured to get to be a part of that family’s orthodontic journey.”
